Protecting your data is a core priority for Planara. We use modern security practices and infrastructure to help ensure your information remains private and protected.

1. Security Philosophy

Planara is designed with the principle that users should remain in control of their financial information.

We prioritize:

  • Minimal data collection
  • Secure infrastructure
  • Encrypted communications
  • Transparent data controls

2. Encryption

Data in Transit

All communication between your device and Planara servers is encrypted using HTTPS with TLS encryption.

This protects your information from interception while it travels across the internet.

Data at Rest

Sensitive data stored by Planara is protected using modern encryption and secure storage practices provided by our cloud infrastructure.

Access to stored data is restricted through strict access controls.

3. Authentication & Account Protection

Planara uses secure authentication systems to protect user accounts.

Security measures include:

  • Encrypted password storage
  • Secure authentication tokens
  • Protection against common attack methods
  • Optional device-based security features where supported

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

4. Infrastructure Security

Planara runs on secure cloud infrastructure designed for reliability and protection.

Security practices include:

  • Restricted administrative access
  • Network-level protections
  • Continuous system monitoring
  • Logging and audit capabilities

5. No Bank Credentials

Planara does not require access to your bank login credentials.

All financial information is entered manually by the user, which reduces exposure to third-party financial integrations.

6. Data Access Controls

Your data is accessible only by:

  • You
  • Household members you explicitly invite

Planara staff do not access personal financial data unless required for troubleshooting and only with proper authorization.

7. Responsible Disclosure

If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability in Planara, we encourage responsible disclosure.

Please contact:

security@planara.app

Include as much detail as possible so our team can investigate and resolve the issue quickly.

8. Security Updates

We continuously review and improve our security practices.

Updates to our security processes may occur as infrastructure, threats, and best practices evolve.
