This Cookie Policy explains how Planara uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They help websites function properly and improve user experience.
2. How We Use Cookies
Planara uses cookies for the following purposes:
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable features such as:
- Account login
- Security protection
- Session management
Without these cookies, the website may not operate correctly.
Preferences
We store some of your choices locally on your device (using your browser's local storage rather than cookies), such as:
- Theme preferences
- Interface settings
- Your cookie choice
3. Consent Categories
The cookie banner groups everything we load into two categories, which match the options shown in your cookie settings:
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site to work. Keeps you signed in, protects against abuse, and remembers your cookie choice. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics and performance. Helps us understand which pages are used and how fast they load. Off unless you allow it.
4. Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and performance measurement to understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed and overall performance. These do not use cookies, do not track you across other websites, and are not tied to your identity.
Even so, we do not load these scripts at all until you have given consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted providers to operate the website. Our authentication and hosting provider (Supabase) may set essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. Our analytics and performance provider (Vercel) is cookieless, and its scripts are only loaded once you have accepted the analytics category. Our subscription provider (RevenueCat) is used to manage paid plans and only initializes for signed-in users, so it falls under strictly necessary.
6. Managing Cookies
When you first visit the site, a banner lets you choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences for per-category control. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not affect any account feature.
Your choice is stored locally on your device rather than in a cookie, so it applies to this browser only and is reset if you clear site data. You can change it at any time:
You can also control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page.
